The Survivors had to start the three generators to have the bridge raised. However, the sailboat was located on the wrong side of the bridge. The sailboat was particularly selected for this purpose as there was no need to stop for fuel supplies. Once they got to the port, they noticed a fully stocked sailboat that they planned on using to escape from the mainland to a suitable island in the Florida Keys. Once they got through the convenience store, they barricaded the door off leading to the brick factory with a grocery shelf to prevent more Infected from reaching them. They killed the Tank and made their way toward the convenience store in the north end area of Rayford Port.

Note that this Tank was different from most Tanks with a different skin tone, Green Boxers and a tattoo. The original Survivors arrived by an EMD GP10, through the brick factory and the freight port, opening the Tank Specimen train car. Therefore, CEDA and any remaining Survivors pulled out and headed to the evacuation center at Whispering Oaks Amusement Park. However, once they got the generators in place, it seemed to have alerted the Horde (Similar in The Sacrifice) causing lots of Infected being drawn to the area. They are used as floodlights and three are mainly used for the purpose of dropping and raising the bridge. However, the train derailed and the remaining workers became infected.ĭue to the constant power outages and necessity of power to allow for an evacuation, CEDA most likely brought a few gas-powered generators in.

The agency even tried having a live Tank specimen pass through the area by train. Forced to allow CEDA to intervene, they setted a command area up near the port as it served as a defensive perimeter. When the Infection hit and Rayford's citizens prepared for the infection (By preparing large stockpiles of items), most of the town turned into Infected.

There was a bar/lounge near the port that mainly served the dock and construction workers whenever they need to wind down and relax and a convenience store was also located just off the main road past the bridge where the customers could purchase small convenient items and drinks. The bridge itself was a lift bridge which allowed the big vessels to pass through and get to the other side. Near the port was a key bridge in Rayford that led to the main highway. The big freight boats are used to unload the gravel and containers with goods (Note the 'Rayford Shipping' sign). It was the main source of income for Rayford where they sent and received the goods by boat and train. The port was a key area in Rayford where the people could use and rent the boats as recreation and sport on the water.
